We are Desert View Little League,
(formerly Queen Creek East LL), and we formed this new league in which
to provide kids from 5 to 14 a place to play baseball. We as concerned
parents have come together with a goal in mind, to provide a place in a
little league atmosphere for kids to learn the fundamentals of baseball,
while instilling sportsmanship, teamwork and to teach sports as life
training.
We were forced to split off of Queen
Creek Little League last season. The town of Queen Creek decided to
mandate an 80 – 20 boundary rule, which left approx. 500 plus kids
without an organized venue to learn and play baseball. We see the need
of such a program to continue in our surrounding community and with
support of parents, HOA’s and businesses in our area we hope to give all
kids the pleasure of playing America’s favorite pastime.
We as a board well know it takes
everyday people of all backgrounds with varying opinions to come
together as one to make this type of venture work. What makes a little
league successful is, its volunteers, people of all walks of life that
are willing to give their time to a group of kids that just want to
learn and have fun.
It will take the use of fields,
patience of volunteers, proper planning, good scheduling, and most of
all dedication to make this 2008 baseball season a success for all of
us.
The DVLL board has been working
diligently to secure fields locally in our area and are constantly
striving to make this inaugural season a success.
Please keep monitoring this web site for
